Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role provides hands-on technical expertise while supervising, training, and directing maintenance personnel to ensure equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assign work, provide instruction, and ensure appropriate materials are available for assigned maintenance activities Trian, coach, and mentor maintenance techs in proper methods, procedures, and safe work practices Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members Respond to and manage emergency and maintenance situations as required Report infractions related to company policies, safety rules, or misuse of company proper to management Promote and enforce a safe, clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and OSHA regulations Comply with Wayne Metals quality system requirements, including defect prevention and waste reduction initiatives Adhere to all quality and environmental policies, procedures, and documentation requirements Perform and oversee required maintenance activities across plant Troubleshoot and repair equipment including power presses, welders, hand tools, lift trucks, spray paint equipment, electronic systems, and HVAC systems Install new equipment, relocate existing equipment, and perform plumbing repairs as assigned Perform all types of maintenance-related welding Conduct preventative maintenance activities and recommend improvements or additional programs Apply electrical wiring principles for both AC and DC systems Use electronic measuring devices such as oscilloscopes Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams Apply National Electrical Code requirements in all applicable work Perform workmanship-level tasks to ensure the safety of personnel an equipment Work heights above floor level as required Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or equivalent work experience preferred Completion of a 4 year apprenticeship or equivalent journeyman-level experience Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Proven technical competency in maintenance disciplines being supervised KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Advanced knowledge of industrial maintenance systems and equipment Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and welding principles Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safety practices Familiarity with the National Electrical Code Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to train, mentor, and lead maintenance personnel Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively in emergency situations Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Conform to all Wayne Metals, LLC environmental policies, programs and procedures.
