DANONE NORTH AMERICA IS LOOKING FOR A MAINTENANCE MECHANIC IN MINSTER, OHIO.

Danone is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on a 12-hour night shift (5:48PM – 6:00AM). The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for all emergency and unplanned breakdowns associated with packaging lines. Pay starts at $36.27/hr plus $1.00/hr shift premium with the opportunity to grow to a State Certified Journeyman Mechanic at $40.72/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift premium! EDUCATION:

  • Minimum Requirement: High school diploma, G.E.D., or some educational equivalent
  • Advanced Education (e.g., Associates, Bachelors, or Technical Degree) or professional licenses/certificates in robotics and automation or engineering (preferred)
  • Recertification is an essential requirement
Responsibilities
  • Consistently communicate service actions and equipment issues with operators, maintenance, and all corresponding departments (e.g., scheduling, processing, packaging, distribution)
  • Follow safety protocols and utilization documents (e.g., safety manuals, manufacturer instructions, diagrams, etc.)
  • Perform CILT (i.e., clean, inspect, lubricate, tighten) quality checks on production lines to ensure machinery is properly functioning
  • Prevent safety hazards and service requests via proper supervision, observation, and quality checks
  • Ask questions regarding equipment failure in order to properly diagnose issues
  • Monitor several production lines or utilities systems (if working in utilities) simultaneously
  • Evaluate, test and maintain electrical wiring
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
  • Efficiently assemble/disassemble machinery when necessary
  • Install specialized equipment, devices, or parts for repairs
  • Receive daily reports to verify the status of production lines
  • Receive work orders via computer systems or phone
  • Document resolutions to equipment failure for future reference
  • Remove defective machinery/equipment with industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, etc.)
  • Annually attend in-house trainings (e.g., forklift, automation, welding, ladder, lock-out/tag-out, and safety)
  • Cleaning and sanitation tasks (e.g., part lubrication and cleaning, general housekeeping)
  • Work 12-hour night shifts, 5:48pm - 6:00am on a 3-2-2 schedule
