Position Summary Install, repair, and maintain electrical production equipment and power systems. Safely performs position specific responsibilities to ensure a high level of productivity, quality and internal and external customer service while adhering to all relevant company policies and procedures. Identifies and recommends process improvements to streamline and increase efficiency of existing programs. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Work from work orders, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, codes manuals, written and verbal instructions to accomplish work to code and with minimal interference to production. Maintain electrical systems and subsystems for plant machinery and equipment. Disassemble motors, clean, replace or adjust brushes and commutators bearings. Perform preventive maintenance. Check electrical systems and controls. Tear down systems. Assist in determining the extent of trouble. Repair or replace defective parts and wiring. Reassemble and test using electrical measuring devices. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Maintain electrical supply inventory and request replenishments as needed. Complete maintenance reports and records Detect and report faulty equipment and defective materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Experience and Education High school diploma / GED equivalent Secondary education, technical school, or certification preferred. Must have a minimum of 5+ years of electrical/mechanical work experience performing similar functions for a manufacturing company.
