The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of production and facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime in a fast-paced poultry processing environment. Job Summary: Holly Poultry is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join our operations team. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of production and facility equipment to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime in a fast-paced poultry processing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment and facility systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize production disruptions. Inspect machinery and mechanical equipment to diagnose issues or detect irregularities. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders using the CMMS system. Assist in the installation of new equipment and modifications to existing systems. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with production personnel and other team members. Support plant sanitation efforts as needed. Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, and company safety and sanitation standards. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification a plus. Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food or poultry processing. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment. Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, conveyors, pumps, and motors. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and inventory management. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in cold/wet environments, and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work occasional overtime or respond to emergencies.
