Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic A is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing all electrical/mechanical equipment, including plastic injection blow mold machinery, in the plant and surrounding facilities without supervision or assistance. Primary Position Responsibilities: * Follow all safety, food safety, & GMP rules and regulations. * Possess the electrical competency to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions down to circuit board level. * Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment to “like new” state when required. * Work unassisted and unsupervised to job completion in a timely and proficient manner. * Maintain or exceed speed and efficiency while maintaining or improving quality of work. * Install and dismantle machinery and equipment. * Overhaul machinery by tearing down equipment and repairing or replacing damaged machine parts. * Operate mechanical equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs. * Care for and use hand tools in the repair of equipment and structures. * Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs. * Perform all general preventative maintenance duties such as greasing oiling, etc. * Possess excellent technical and critical thinking skills. * Well versed in a broad spectrum of trades. * Must provide own hand tools and tool box. * Identify issues that he/she is not able to rectify and communicate them promptly to the Maintenance Manager for assistance.
