The Maintenance Mechanic I will make repairs in all trade disciplines, moves furniture and other related equipment as required, assists groundskeepers, works on snow removal operation and completes other tasks as assigned. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health. Competencies: Assists Level II and III Maintenance Technicians. Operates and maintains physical plant equipment and has a working knowledge of Christian Health's energy management systems. Performs PM tasks as assigned. Moves furniture and other related equipment between buildings on campus. Makes electric, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry repairs. Assists groundskeepers. Assists with snow removal. Utilizes computer and DataStream software and handheld to receive and complete work requests as well as e-mails. Schedule: 7am-3pm, Monday - Friday. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Qualifications: 1-3 years experience as a Maintenance Helper or equivalent working in 3 construction trades. Experience with HVAC equipment preferred. Valid New Jersey Driver's License. Valid New Jersey Black Seal Low Pressure Boiler License preferred. Basic computer skills.
