The Maintenance Mechanic II will make repairs in all trade disciplines, moves furniture and other related equipment as required, assists groundskeepers, works on snow removal operation and completes other tasks as assigned. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health. Competencies: Operates and maintains physical plant equipment (i.e.: boilers, etc.) and has a working knowledge of Christian Health's energy management system. Makes repairs on systems on all trade disciplines (i.e.: tearing down boilers, pumps). Accurately estimate and order materials. Reports safety deficiencies to Supervisor or Managers. Performs PM tasks as assigned. Plans and lays out projects as requested. Provide leadership to complete projects utilizing a project team. Assists groundskeepers. Works on snow removal operations. Conducts electrical and refrigeration system checks. Conducts rounds. (i.e.: walking or driving). Utilizes computer and CMMS (Four Rivers) to receive work requests as well as e-mails. Schedule: 7am-3pm, Monday - Friday. Weekend Coverage. Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Qualifications: 3+ years experience as a Maintenance Technician I and demonstrates proficiency in 3 construction trades. Experience with HVAC equipment, electrical, and plumbing. Valid Driver's License. New Jersey Black Seal Low Pressure Boiler License preferred. Computer literate.
