CMP is a global manufacturing company with 6 manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout Canada, the United States, Italy, Australia, and China. CMP supplies the recreational and commercial marine industries with a broad range of products for various industry segments, including anchoring & ground tackle, corrosion, dock & boat accessories, and steering & controls. CMP manufactures and distributes products under the brands, Martyr, Rocna, Vulcan, Titan, Panther, Dock Edge, Octopus, Intellisteer, Sanitation Equipment and, Trollmaster. We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join the team in our Delta, BC location.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance millwright (Maintenance Engineer) is a full-time position, responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years relevant work experience; Red seal/apprentice experience is a definite asset but not required
• 3+ years of experience or understanding of electrical/electronic troubleshooting including work with hydraulic and electrical systems
• 3+ years of experience with Mig welding. Tig an asset
• 3+ years of experience or working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds
• Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Tools supplied
• Flexible to accommodate shift changes based on work exigencies
• Comfortable working independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines and also in a team environment
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
