JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective: Follows a preventative maintenance schedule as well as performs mechanical and electrical repairs of production equipment to prevent or minimize unscheduled down-time. Assists with maintenance and upkeep of facilities. Essential Functions: Ensures operation of machinery and plant facilities by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and all auxiliary plant systems/facilities. Mechanical troubleshooting and repair to get the lines running efficiently and in a timely matter. Electrical Troubleshooting and repair to keep equipment and facility up to code. Performs welding and fabrication tasks. Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to reduce machine down time and maintenance costs. Use computers for data collection, record keeping, and analysis. Continually seeks to improve processes and procedures to reduce downtime, improve machine efficiency and quality. Read, understand, and follow equipment manufacturer’s drawings and specifications. Disassemble and reassemble machines according to manufacturers’ specifications. Able to use and understand electrical schematics and drawings. Able to troubleshoot, repair or replace VFD’s and PLC’s. Performs general facilities maintenance and upkeep throughout the facility. Comply with all safety regulations/procedures and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Shifts Available: 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 2PM-12AM standard hours; schedules can change based on business needs This position starts at $32.82 and is based on experience.
