Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic Operator will be responsible for all preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on equipment at the Fairmont Royal York including Kitchen and Laundry/Valet equipment as well as mechanical areas.

• Good upkeep, repair and maintenance of all laundry equipment including, but not limited to washers, dryers, feeders, ironers and any other equipment or machinery in the laundry areas.
• Good upkeep, repair and maintenance of Kitchen equipment including or machinery in the Kitchen and Dishwashing areas.
• Maintain adequate inventory and support the ordering of spare parts to maintain sufficient on-site inventory to support normal operation
• Guest room AHU’s/HVAC(Air Handling Units/Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning) repair and maintenance
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
• Ensuring Health & Safety standards in the work area.
• Ensuring Cleanliness of equipment
• Maintenance, repairs, installation and trouble shooting of Hotel’s physical plant and equipment
• If required, will assist the Engineering Dept. in other trade areas as required
• Public Holiday, weekends work may be required as needed
