POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting for the plant, equipment and the related areas of the concrete plant.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.Must have previous experience operating construction machinery or equipment
  • -forklift, pallet loaders, lift truck and a front-end loader.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with previous experience troubleshooting machinery and equipment.
  • Forklift, Loader, Respirator certifications helpful.
  • Must be capable to completing requirements of the Company certification programs and passing the test in a reasonable period of time.
  • Must be able to pass respiratory function test for working in confined areas. Valid NE driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s insurance plan.

Responsibilities

Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
Independently determines the need and performs basic repair, service and related work on mechanical, plumbing, electrical and production equipment.
Ensures safe and efficient operation of the plant through maintenance, inspection and repair of the equipment and operating conditions of the concrete plant.
Performs scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and adjustments of selected equipment and fixtures, as well as, operational testing and verification to specific standards.
Operates a front end loader or fork lift according to requirements of the current need.
Assure all Lockout/Tagout programs and policies for Ready Mixed are implemented and maintained, while assuring personnel follow safe lockout/tagout procedures.
Assure SDS forms are maintained and up to date for accurate information and immediate review.
Perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to details.
Uses various hand tools and test equipment periodically to analyze, evaluate and correct malfunctions with various systems, devices and/or instruments.
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
