SUMMARY

We’re seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Mechanic (Non-Licensed) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with general maintenance skills in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical who wants to make a real impact in a senior living environment—without needing a state mechanical license.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year experience in building maintenance, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, or related field
  • Trade school, vocational training, or military experience is a plus
  • Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull, & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in confined or elevated areas
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable interacting with residents, families, and staff in a professional manner

Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned work orders in resident rooms, healthcare areas, and common spaces
  • Perform basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems (non-licensed tasks)
  • Install cabinets, countertops, drywall, and finish carpentry items
  • Apply paint, stains, and wall coverings for touch-ups and upgrades
  • Collaborate with departments to minimize disruptions during repairs
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues
  • Follow all safety protocols and infection control policies
