JOB DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY:
The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic will perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. The Mechanic shall be experienced and able to be responsible for performing emergency service and repairs as necessary to satisfy service requests and to maintain the equipment listed on the building equipment inventory in proper operating condition in USGS’s Main Building, Power Plant, Physics Building, Advanced Systems Center Building, and all ancillary buildings on the USGS campus. The employee must otherwise meet any requirements of the Government for this classification contained in the applicable RFP and contract.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Five (5) years of experience, including: performing maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skills in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work and specifically familiar with:
