Description

ABOUT YOU:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or related degree highly preferred
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to CNC machinery and related systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivated, able to work independently on the floor
  • SolidWorks and/or CAD experience is a plus
  • Early-career candidates with relevant project experience are encouraged to apply

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to perform the following physical demands with or without accommodation:
  • Position may require person to be on their feet to 8-10 hours standing or walking in a heavy manufacturing environment, constantly performing regularly scheduled maintenance duties
  • Ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds infrequently
  • Ability to safely operate forklift, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment
  • Ability to see and hear in order to perform the functions of this position

Responsibilities

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000
Location: Austintown, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6 AM–5 PM (Flexible start time; occasional weekend or travel to Pulaski, VA)

Maintenance/Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Support maintenance team with troubleshooting and problem-solving on the production floor
  • Assist with sourcing, ordering, and cost-effective procurement of machine parts
  • Interpret machine drawings, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and SolidWorks/CAD files
  • Provide hands-on mechanical/electrical support and collaborate directly with maintenance technicians
  • Work 80% on the floor and 20% in-office conducting research and technical review
  • Partner with a small team to execute individual and collaborative projects
  • Report directly to the Engineering Manager
