Maintenance Mechanical Technician – Night Shift Weekends Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, 7PM – 7AM About Us At Insteel, we strive to be the nation's supplier of choice for steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. Position Snapshot A maintenance technician will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. We have a high commitment to safety and are looking to expand our maintenance department with others who feel strongly about achieving a ZERO HARM work environment. The schedule for this role is: Thursday - Sunday (Weekends) Night shift; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Occasional additional overtime as needed to meet business demands. Receive a $2.00/hour Shift Premium for working the weekend schedule. To perform well in this role, you will need to: Always wear your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, safety glasses, & safety-toe shoes Be inquisitive, ask questions, be willing to learn new things Have good attendance Be willing to get your hands dirty Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and production equipment Assist team members with preventative maintenance of machines Repair hydraulic & pneumatic equipment Operate cutting torch and welding equipment Have basic math skills and the ability to measure lengths, diameters, weights, and counts Qualifications to be considered for the role: High School diploma or equivalent – technical training is a plus. Must have 3 years of previous work experience in the capacity of an industrial maintenance technician Ability to complete forms and understand written instructions. Ability to perform basic math skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable. Must display a stable previous employment history.
