Job Description JOB TITLE: Maintenance Mechanical COMPANY: Veolia Water Technologies LOCATION: SULAIBIYA WASTE WATER TREATMENT & RECLAMATION PLANT, KUWAIT REPORTS TO: Mechanical Field Engineer. Role The Maintenance Mechanical assists in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in the Ultrafiltration (UF)/reverse osmosis (RO) plant, working under the guidance of Mechanical Field Engineer to ensure operational efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities: Assist in carrying out routine maintenance & repair for mechanical equipment in the UF/RO facility. Troubleshooting malfunctions and operating defects to make necessary repairs. Follow the guidance of Mechanical Field Engineer to assist with plant modification works. Report the status of maintenance activities to the Mechanical Field Engineer. Help prepare tools, materials, and work areas for assigned maintenance tasks, adhering to all safety requirements. Support the coordination with the Operation Team to minimize equipment downtime during maintenance. Learn to analyze routine checks and mechanical parameters to identify potential equipment faults. Assist in replacing and installing specified parts and making required adjustments under supervision. Adhere to EHS & Quality processes and procedures, checking job sites for potential hazards. Maintain good housekeeping for plant facilities in cooperation with other departments. Be available for shift work and on-call duties as required. Qualifications Minimum Diploma in a Mechanical field. 1-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an industrial setting like a water treatment, power, or manufacturing plant. Basic hands-on experience with mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, and blowers. Ability to communicate in English (written & spoken). Basic knowledge of MS-OFFICE. Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions from supervisors. A strong commitment to safety and quality procedures.
