The Pinch is a fully furnished 25-room hotel designed to offer all of the comforts of a home away from home, including fully furnished units with full kitchens. We offer 24-hour concierge services, housekeeping services, and personalized amenities. Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Director of Engineering Job Type: Full-Time Location: The Pinch Hotel, 40 George Street, Charleston, SC 29401 Position Summary: * We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in basic repairs, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Perform general maintenance and repair duties in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping. * Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. * Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems. * Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner. * Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with hotel standards and local regulations. * Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintenance shop. * Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. * Communicate effectively with the front desk and other departments regarding work order status. * Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 1+ years of maintenance or handyman experience (hotel experience preferred). * Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. * Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor. Schedule & Pay: * Hourly Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience * Shifts: Varying shifts; must have availability for weekends and some holidays.
