Ocean Spray of Canada is hiring for the upcoming 2025 cranberry harvest.
We have one position available for Millwright Helper at our Langley Receiving Station from September to mid-November 2025.
Requirements:
Must possess good interpersonal skills required to work in a team environment.
Must be available to work overtime
Must have positive attitude
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbal and written
Computer skills an asset
Forklift SDCB ticket an asset

We are looking for a Millwright Assistant / Apprentice to assist our Millwright to perform duties that include, but not limited to, preventive maintenance/maintaining machinery, breakdown maintenance, repairs, new installations, and more.
Safety Responsibilities
· To take reasonable care to protect the health and safety of themselves and their co-workers.
· To observe all WCB regulations or orders pertaining to their work.
· To follow safe work procedures.
· To use or wear personal protective equipment as required by the WCB regulations.
· To be basic electrical knowledge to safely re and re electric motors.
· To report to the employer or their supervisor any hazards they are aware of.
· To co-operate with the joint health and safety committee.

SKILLS FOR A MAINTENANCE POSITION:

· Mechanically inclined
· Able to drive a Forklift is an asset
· Millwright knowledge
· Ability to learn new procedures
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Able to communicate with employees
· Precise attention to detail
· Candidate should have own transportation as there are no bus routes nearby.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: $34.00 depending on experience.

• Attendance Bonus of $1.0 per hour worked, paid at the end of harvest season – this is only applicable if an employee stays for the entire duration of the harvest season

Pay: From $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
