Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of work, including the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). on client requirements and business needs.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
9AM - 5:30PM $17.00/hr - Weekly Pay

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues, such as equipment malfunctions, plumbing leaks, electrical problems, and structural damage.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and general building repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants, and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with the installation and assembly of new equipment, fixtures, and furniture as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory, and maintenance logs.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team and communicate effectively with supervisors and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
  • Sheet-rock installation and finishing. Painting. Minor carpentry. Floor tile and carpet repairs. Locks, doors, and general maintenance repairs.
  • This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing.
  • This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
  • Proven experience in general maintenance and repair work, preferably in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
