About Us:
Anglicare Sydney is a leading and highly regarded community NFP organisation in Australia.
Our vision is to see Jesus Christ honoured, lives enriched and communities strengthened. To achieve this, we are looking to attract the most capable and mission aligned people to join us.
For over 160 years Anglicare has been serving people in need- providing care to older people and services to the vulnerable. We began because of people who saw a need in the community and who were compelled to make a difference. People motivated by Christian love and a passion to serve. If this describes you, we would love to invite you to join us!
Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, support, and strategy to make it happen.
As a Maintenance Officer, you’ll be key to our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities. Be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful, and purpose-driven team where we don’t just talk about values – we live them.
Your opportunity
As our Maintenance Officer based at Woolooware Shores, you’ll undertake general maintenance and repairs to ensure our village facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents. You’ll complete routine preventative tasks as well as responsive maintenance, contributing to a high standard of upkeep across buildings, gardens, and equipment.

With integrity and practical skills, you will:

  • Complete general repairs including door and lock repairs, painting, gutter cleaning, basic concreting, minor roofing tasks, and “handyman” work
  • Undertake preventative maintenance to maintain assets at agreed service levels
  • Keep tools and equipment in safe working condition
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and safety procedures followed
  • Represent Anglicare Sydney with professionalism and respect, upholding our values when interacting with residents, contractors, and colleagues

What you’ll bring
You are a hands-on professional who enjoys practical tasks and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and presentation. You work methodically, stay calm under pressure, and interact with empathy and respect.

You will also need:

  • A basic understanding of maintenance, tools, and materials (a certificate in maintenance or a related discipline is preferred)
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Sound computer skills – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A practical, safety-conscious approach and willingness to follow procedures
  • A commitment to upholding Anglicare Sydney’s values of integrity, justice, compassion, and excellence
  • Ideally, you’ll also bring experience working in maintenance roles within residential, aged care, or community settings.

Why Anglicare Sydney?
We provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support and the dedicated people who make it happen.
At Anglicare Sydney, you’ll get the security, stability, and opportunities that come with a strong, well-established organisation. You’ll belong to a community of kind, humble, and respectful people of all faiths and backgrounds. You will also be supported to develop your skills and build a rewarding, stable career.

In addition, you’ll enjoy:

  • Salary packaging to increase your take-home pay
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Flexible work options where possible
  • Discounts at over 400 retailers
  • Employee Assistance Program and Fitness Passport for you and your family
