Description

Holiday Property Bond ‘The Coo Palace’ on the Borgue coast are looking to employ a site maintenance officer to work alongside our current maintenance team member. The role will involve general maintenance to properties and grounds and working with our housekeeping team to ensure properties are well presented for our guests. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems in order to ensure our 27 holiday cottages are maintained to a high standard.
The ideal candidate will have experience and some technical knowledge in this line of work, as well as being reliable with a keen eye for detail . You will also need to have a liking for gardening i.e. mowing, trimming and maintaining green spaces during appropriate months of the year.
Currently the role works on a rota basis for Mon - Fri and alternating Saturdays. The role is paid weekly in arrears and will have holiday entitlement depending on the days worked (3-5 days). We are open to canditates looking for full or part time hours.
Responsibilities:
· Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, painting and touching up furniture to keep everything looking new.
· Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues in our boiler rooms.
· Install appliances and equipment, working with the housekeeping team to ensure quick fixes on property changeovers.
· Conduct maintenance checks in properties, usual household equipment checks and heating thermostats.
· Inspect and troubleshoot equipment where needed. Liaising with specialist plumber / electrician where needed.
· Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarms).
· Report to the site manager regarding any maintenance issues.
Requirements:
· Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
· Experience using hand and electrical tools.
· Very good communication and interpersonal skills - some administrative and supervisory skills an advantage.
· Successful completion of a probationary period.
· Maintain the smooth running of a swimming pool, performing daily tests and cleaning regimes. Training will be given.
· Care for the improvement and maintenance of green spaces across the site.
