The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, committed and customer service focused Maintenance Officer to join our team at Lakeside. The successful candidate will support the close-knit team on a fulltime basis, from Monday to Friday. No weekend work!
Nestled on the beautiful Lake Macquarie, in the heart of Bonnells Bay, this Lakeside community offers superb facilities, a vibrant, supportive environment and a tranquil setting for our residents and their families.

As a Maintenance Officer, your duties will include;

• Performing general and preventative maintenance tasks around the village in an organised and proactive manner
• Assisting with basic handyperson tasks as needed, including minor repairs and installations
• Having a customer-focused approach to all tasks, whilst developing strong and positive relationships with residents and visitors
• Adhering to EHS procedures, ensuring safety of all residents, visitors and contractors
• Assisting with various Adhoc duties where required, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Village Manager

About You

The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant, gardener, tradesperson or trade assistant or experience in a similar role, as well as:

• Be organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
• Effective communication skills
• Understanding of machinery use and tools required for the job
• A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
• Computer literate e.g. intermediate/basic knowledge with using Excel, Word, Outlook, Apps
• The ability to take initiative and be pro-active
• The ability to work individually and in a team
• A current Australian driver’s licence, with experience driving a manual vehicle

Relevant internal training and inductions will be provided to the successful candidate on-site.
Please note: The successful applicant must complete a Police Check & will be required to receive an annual flu vaccination between the months of April-October, with supporting documentation prior to joining. For selected roles, pre-employment medical assessments will also be required prior to any employment offers being made.
