Job Description Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Maintenance department on a full-time basis. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the presentation, functionality, and safety of all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities across Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites Key Responsibilities Include: Undertake general property repairs and maintenance as required. Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program to ensure optimal property performance. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required. Maintain accurate daily work records and service schedules. Support the Maintenance Manager in managing contractor works and maintenance projects. Shift Details (subject to change): Full-time position Monday to Friday roster (some weekend work may be required) Afterhours callouts may be required on an ad hoc basis Immediate start available Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation): Monday - Friday: $33.38 per hour Additional penalty rates may apply Qualifications The successful applicant will have: Previous hands-on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment. A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience supporting or implementing preventative maintenance programs. Sound organisational and time management skills. A proactive approach and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
