Our Maintenance team plays an important role in keeping the environment safe, tidy and running smoothly for everyone. About the Role We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Officer who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping things in good order. You don’t need to be a fully qualified tradie. What matters most is that you’re handy, proactive, friendly and enjoy helping people. This is a full-time weekday role — no weekends — offering steady work, great work–life balance and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team that genuinely cares. What You’ll Be Doing Completing general maintenance and repairs around the site Fixing minor issues in resident rooms and shared areas Keeping buildings, gardens and common areas safe and tidy Responding to maintenance requests in a timely and respectful way Working safely and following WHS guidelines Supporting nearby Uniting sites occasionally (within 15 minutes, using a company vehicle) What We’re Looking For Experience in maintenance, facilities or general handyperson work Someone practical and solutions-focused A friendly, approachable manner — great customer service is essential Comfortable chatting with residents and working as part of a team Reliable, motivated and takes pride in their work Basic computer skills A current NSW Driver’s Licence A trade qualification is welcome but not required. Responsibilities
