Description

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE PROFESSIONAL WITH LEADERSHIP SKILLS?

We’re looking for a Senior Maintenance Operative to oversee and support our facilities at Tralee. If you enjoy managing maintenance tasks, supervising teams, and ensuring everything runs smoothly, this is the perfect role for you!
In this role, you’ll provide management continuity and act as the main point of contact with the client when the Facilities Manager is off-site. You’ll complete all required training and maintain your PSA licence to ensure compliance. Respond swiftly to reactive tasks on site to meet contract SLAs and carry out daily inspections of critical systems like plant machinery, heating, ventilation, lighting, and plumbing—reporting faults into our Helpdesk. ️
You’ll coordinate work activities, supporting the quality plan and sustainability goals for the project. Ensuring all documentation for contractual and legislative compliance is up to date and available for inspection is key. You’ll also be responsible for securely storing equipment, materials, and chemicals, and maintaining them properly. ️
Supporting subcontractors is a vital part of your duties—you’ll provide inductions, supervise permit-to-work requirements, and escort subcontractors when needed. You’ll perform general repairs, assemble and install furniture and fixtures, and reconfigure rooms based on requests. Conducting routine inspections to identify potential issues early and escalating them to the Helpdesk will be part of your proactive approach.
In addition, you’ll assist with managing access by replacing lost or damaged keys and card fobs, passively monitor CCTV, and conduct regular discreet patrols both externally and internally in the absence of the Security Officer. Your leadership ensures the safety and smooth operation of the site.
What we’re looking for: A valid PSA licence, Safe Pass, and Legionella training are preferred. The ideal candidate is experienced, proactive, and capable of supervising maintenance tasks and managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
If you’re ready to take on a senior role in a dynamic environment and lead maintenance operations, we want to hear from you! Apply now and be part of our dedicated facilities team!
Enjoy a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive setting!
