JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to support the day-to-day upkeep of two nursing homes, working under our experienced Maintenance Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow a career in maintenance or the trades, with varied, on-the-job experience.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

· Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills
· Use of power tools and hand tools
· Painting and decorating
· Awareness of Health & Safety practices

REQUIREMENTS

· Full UK driving licence
· Physically able to carry out manual work
· Subject to enhanced DBS check

· Painting and decorating resident rooms and communal areas
· Minor repairs to walls, doors, and fixtures
· Moving furniture and preparing rooms
· Fire alarm and water testing checks
· Garden and grounds maintenance
· Setting up decorations and garden furniture
· Assisting external contractors on site
· Responding to maintenance requests
· Supporting with waste removal and storage area organisation
