Description POSITION SUMMARY: Ensure parts are available when needed by the facility by managing all inventories of maintenance, repair parts and manufacturing consumables. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Functions considered essential as defined by ADA are denoted by an *. 1. Control & maintain the parts storage areas in an orderly, organized fashion 2. Preassemble parts kits for scheduled preventative maintenance actions 3. Create purchase order requisitions & place orders w/vendors after proper approvals are rec’d 4. Utilize the CMMS system 5. Understand the departmental budget & stay within budgetary limits 6. Generate key supply metrics such as order fill rate, forecast accuracy, inventory accuracy, supplier reliability and other applicable supply chain metrics ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT OR POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes other duties/responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Requirements Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Technical School or some college Required Certification/Licensure: None Experience: Minimum: 3-5 years Maintenance Preferred: 5+ years w/applicable Maintenance background (CMMS) in aluminum or metals industry Special Skills Required: Good written & verbal communication skills; good math/computer skills; demonstrated organizational & planning skills; ability to read standard blueprints, machine & process drawings; have ability & understanding of the maintenance processes & proper use of the work order system, planning, scheduling & storeroom processes, manage multiple priorities & follow-up through completion and be approachable as well as tactful. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Crawling, walking, standing, climbing, reaching Carrying loads of 50-75 lbs at times Required to wear all appropriate PPE including safety glasses, hardhat, hazardous chemical resistant gloves, ½ face mask, and approved respirator as necessary.
