FACILITIES AND MAINTENANCE OFFICER WANTED!

Are you a skilled and experienced Facilities and Maintenance Officer looking for a new challenge? We need a proactive and hands-on individual to oversee all aspects of site maintenance at our Syston and Loughborough locations.
We will be looking to hold interviews week commencing 30th June 2025. Please note your availability for this week.
About the Role
Reporting to the Warehouse and Transport Director, you’ll be responsible for everything from planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reactive repairs and day-to-day upkeep. You’ll ensure our facilities are always in top condition, safe, and meet the highest standards for both staff and visitors.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage all maintenance tasks, ensuring safety and legal compliance (HSE).
  • Oversee contractor management, including RAMS, permits, and on-site behavior.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, legionella, etc.).
  • Maintain excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the appearance and condition of our sites exceed expectations.
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to our facilities.
  • Manage budgets and material spend efficiently, seeking multiple quotes for contractor jobs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong DIY and general maintenance skills are essential.
  • Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, and joinery.
  • A 17th Edition Electrical Qualification or equivilent is advantageous.
  • A full driving licence is required to use the provided company van for travel between sites.
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills.
  • A self-starter who can also work effectively as a team player.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems proactively.
