    Job Description

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Experience in maintenance of building systems, including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and swimming pool maintenance is an asset.
  • Previous experience is an asset Completion of WHMIS preferred.
  • Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Formal training and education towards Power Engineering certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Completing work orders as requested using the Royal Service Preventative Maintenance and Work Request Program.
  • Ensuring the highest standards for overall maintenance of guestrooms and public areas, including Heart of the House.
  • Working closely with the Rooms Division teams, and all hotel departments to improve service delivery and efficiency.
  • Providing excellence in guest service and acting as a liaison between the hotel and our guests.
  • Ensuring a prompt response and follow-up to all requests by guests and employees, with a drive to not only “fix” the problem but implement changes to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is maintained correctly and is in proper working order.
  • Participating in communication meetings, including daily meetings.
  • Demonstrating an eye for detail and dedication to “doing things right the first time”.
  • Informing Leaders of deficiencies, low supply levels, and hotel improvement ideas.
  • Working safely and reporting any hazards as per Work Safe Regulations.
  • Working well with little supervision and as part of a team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
