Your Mission as a Maintenance Planner As our Maintenance Planner, your mission is to orchestrate seamless maintenance operations through expert planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. Acting as the central hub of maintenance strategy, you’ll ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation tasks are aligned with manpower, materials, and access requirements—eliminating downtime and optimizing asset performance across the facility. You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as a Maintenance Planner Develop and maintain the Master Maintenance Schedule, integrating tasks across all disciplines: Mechanical (e.g., pump overhauls) Electrical (e.g., motor testing) Instrumentation (e.g., transmitter calibrations) Lead weekly planning meetings with discipline leads to prioritize tasks and resolve conflicts. Balance the execution of preventive (PM), predictive (PdM), and corrective maintenance work orders. Identify and reserve required materials—such as gaskets, bearings, electrical relays, and sensors—before scheduling. Create detailed Work Packs with technical drawings, P&IDs, job scope, safety documentation, and BOMs. Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure long-lead items (e.g., compressor parts, control valves) are tracked and available. Serve as the primary CMMS administrator (SAP, Maximo, or Oracle), managing accurate work order coding, tracking, and closure. Analyze asset history and failure trends to optimize maintenance frequencies for key equipment like generators and pressure vessels. Produce performance reports on KPIs such as Plan vs. Actual hours and Maintenance Backlog health. Play a lead role in Shutdown & Turnaround (TAR) planning: Develop shutdown schedules and map critical paths (e.g., vessel inspections, substation maintenance). Pre-identify and integrate Hot Work and Confined Space permits into execution plans. Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as a Maintenance Planner Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or extensive relevant field experience. Advanced expertise in CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo, or Oracle). Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. Strong understanding of industrial maintenance planning and cross-discipline coordination. Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
