EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability maintenance roles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and equipment schematics.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Maintenance Planner/Engineering Technician is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the plant’s maintenance plans and team schedules to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimal downtime. The role supports the execution of maintenance activities by coordinating resources, materials, and work orders while improving work efficiency and overall productivity.

KEY TASKS:

  • Develop detailed, effective maintenance schedules for planned work orders.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on criticality, safety, and production needs.
  • Coordinate with operations, CMMS coordinator, maintenance technicians, and other stakeholders to plan equipment shutdowns.
  • Work Order Management, resource coordination.
  • Generate reports and documentation aligning with production and maintenance metrics.
  • Review and manage work requests and ensure proper planning and materials are allocated.
  • Develop job plans and schedules that include labor, materials, tools, and timelines.
  • Track work order progress and close completed work orders in the CMMS system.
  • Work closely with maintenance supervisors, planners, and technicians to allocate labor and ensure work readiness.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to secure necessary materials and tools.
  • Analyze maintenance data to optimize schedules and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance schedules, job plans, and historical work records.
  • Provide periodic reports on work order completion rates, backlog status, and equipment performance.
