Location: FIFO from Townsville or Rockhampton to the project located in the North Galilee Basin
Roster: 2 weeks on 1 week off roster

Maintenance Planner - About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Earthmoving Equipment Maintenance Planner to join the Workshop team and support the availability and reliability of McCosker's plant and equipment fleet. This is a key coordination role focused on planning maintenance activities, identifying service requirements, and working closely with Workshop Supervisors to maximise equipment uptime.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisors, you'll manage short term maintenance schedules and work orders, monitor service requirements, and ensure known repairs, fault rectifications, and oil sample actions are incorporated into planned maintenance activities.
This position will:
- Monitor equipment service requirements and ensure scheduled maintenance activities are planned and communicated effectively.
- Review equipment fault lists and identify repair work that can be completed during upcoming service events.
- Monitor known repair work and confirm parts availability to support efficient maintenance planning.
- Track scheduled oil sampling programs and ensure recommendations and corrective actions are incorporated into maintenance plans.
- Create, manage, and close work orders within the maintenance management system.
- Forecast, order, receive and coordinate material and parts to assist maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and planning documentation.
- Work closely with Workshop Supervisors to communicate planned service requirements, outstanding repairs, and upcoming maintenance schedules.
Experience and Skills
- Current Open Driver Licence and White Card required.
- Experience in maintenance planning, maintenance administration, scheduling, asset management, or a similar coordination role.
- Knowledge of earthmoving equipment, mobile plant, or heavy equipment maintenance requirements.
- Experience working with maintenance management systems such as Pronto, MEX, SAP, JDE, or similar.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and effective record management.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across workshop and operational teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
