About The Role
In this role you will provide Newmont’s Asset Management team, and other business functions, support to improve task lists, maintenance plans and strategies within the companies SAP system. This will enable us to deliver quality work execution plans and tasks which will ultimately increase maintenance standards, equipment reliability, and availability. You will be accountable for ensuring the controls of new and existing asset strategies are aligned within SAP and Newmont’s document control system.

You will have significant experience as a Maintenance Planner in a heavy mobile equipment environment, preferably in a large open cut hard rock mine. Sound knowledge and experience with SAP module, planning and scheduling is essential, as are your advanced Microsoft Project skills. Highly developed interpersonal, adaptability, organisational and time management skills will be a requisite for your success in this role.
These positions offer a 5:2:4:3 roster. Working an 80 hour fortnight, you will have every second Friday off as your RDO as well as Public Holidays - a great work/life balance.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Consulting with the planning and execution teams and schedulers to procure the information required to enable the execution of jobs with the highest level of efficiency.
  • Optimising asset strategy plans from the Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) process into SAP at levels that support agreed frequencies, engineering materials and labour.
  • Assisting development of scoping and standard task procedure documents for the Asset Maintenance department.
  • Achieving agreed targets and developing plans for specific jobs/projects in the immediate to short-term.
  • Creating general task lists in SAP for new, existing, and ad-hoc plans.
  • Ensuring disciplined management of asset strategies within SAP for approximately 4,500 maintenance plans.
  • Ensuring all critical job information is captured into SAP and CMS from the continuous improvement documentation received from the area execution teams.
  • Contributing to RCM ensuring the Asset Management Strategies are achieved.
  • Ensuring technical information is clear for others by ensuring equipment maintenance strategies are developed and maintained.
  • Actively demonstrate the site safety systems and standards through personal actions and goals.
  • Support compliance within all Statutory and Newmont standards and procedures, through the development of strategic asset management plans for the business.
  • Optimize Asset Strategy plans from the RCM process into SAP at levels that supports agreed frequencies, engineering materials and labour.
  • Maintain the Maintenance Planning Workflow process for the mobile plant equipment.
