INVENTORY SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Valid drivers’ license required
  • Experience with CMMS preferred
  • Basic math skills: to include fractions, decimals, percentages, and the metric system; efficient with ratios and formulas required
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills required
  • High degree of professionalism required
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to recurring problems
  • Ability to manage all duties, rules, documentation, and other components of the job with focus and accuracy by balancing productivity, quality, and safety
  • Ability and initiative to implement process improvements
  • Ability to safely work around ultra-high-pressure equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively work with others and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities
  • Managing parts, work orders, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as well as train technicians on proper usage of CMMS
  • Procure and maintain appropriate spare parts and equipment inventories.
  • Verify inventory is scanned in accurately – inbound and outbound
  • Track and schedule daily maintenance workflow and equipment downtime
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor by: writing work orders, purchase orders, answering phones, communicating with customers, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Lead, coordinate and prioritize Maintenance operation tasks as directed by the Supervisor
  • Collaborate with Plant Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Production Manager to help resolve reliability issues in a timely manner
  • Responding to customer phone call and emails
  • Assigns tasks to respective maintenance staff and manages the quality and timeliness of their completion
  • Use software to develop metrics for reporting needs
  • Maintains certifications and regulatory documentation
  • Works with Finance & Accounting to create and manage department budget
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures and regulations
  • Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
  • Handle any minor tasks related to the duties of the position
