About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Planner to oversee the planning and coordination of maintenance activities for the trade group at our Kewdale facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring maintenance operations run efficiently and on schedule.
The primary responsibility of this position is the effective administration of the department’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), MEX. The Maintenance Planner will ensure all maintenance tasks are properly scheduled, tracked, and recorded, supporting the smooth operation and reliability of plant equipment and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and schedule preventative and reactive maintenance activities for all production equipment, Toolroom, Machine Shop, and site assets using the MEX system.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and contractors to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks and statutory compliance work.
  • Maintain accurate asset and maintenance records within the Computerised Maintenance Management System.
  • Optimise labour and equipment availability, ensuring efficient use of maintenance resources across all work areas.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including tracking critical spares and raising purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Lead weekly maintenance scheduling meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of the maintenance planning process.
  • Provide leadership and support to the maintenance trades team, fostering a proactive and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

About You
You bring a strong background in a trade or manufacturing environment, supported by relevant qualifications. Ideally, you also hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or are working towards it. You are confident using a range of software tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Navision, MEX, and MS Project, and can quickly adapt to new systems. Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is highly desirable.
As a natural leader, you have the ability to engage, support, motivate, consult, and direct team members effectively. You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and can convey technical and operational information clearly. Highly organised, you’re able to plan and manage your own workload, as well as coordinate the activities of others to meet deadlines and operational priorities.
