Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to join their team. This is a critical role and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimising the site’s maintenance planning activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of maintenance operations. Responsibilities include generating, closing out, printing, and packaging work orders, as well as planning and organising site shutdowns in a cost-effective manner.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in an engineering environment with a strong grasp of engineering principles and terminology.
  • Solid understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations, including experience in producing risk assessments and safe work systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and embracing change.
  • Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo), with a willingness to become a site SME (Subject Matter Expert).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Effective communicator, capable of working cross-functionally with different teams and departments.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation to support maintenance workflows.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed maintenance plans in coordination with Maintenance Supervisors.
  • Create and distribute work orders and related documentation for preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and coordinate site shutdowns while effectively managing budgets and resources.
  • Support compliance with UK Health & Safety standards through the creation of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Ensure maintenance plans are realistic, structured, and executable.
