He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role As a Maintenance Planner (Projects), you will be responsible for implementing maintenance plans that will ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of operational site equipment, systems, and infrastructure. While primarily focused on project works, you will be required to support the maintenance delivery to support the supervisors leading the maintenance teams. Working closely with the Project Manager and Supervisor, this role provides network experience support to ensure estimating, design, procurement, planning, schedules and sub-contractors are in place for all project and maintenance works. The role ensures shutdowns, safety, staff and network stability are confirmed and in place to maximize efficiency from a busy team. The key responsibilities of this role will include: Identify the client and Watercare requirements for the projects and develop construction plans. Provide Engineering advice to Field supervisors and crew Engage with network engineers to resolve operational issues on the network. Scoping and development of shutdown plans, quote development. Provide back-up supervisory duties when Supervisor is unavailable. Provide oncall support as part of a rotating roster, ensuring timely response and continuity of service for both project and maintenance teams. Staff coordination including subcontractors and additional resources when required Attend MSN and Network team meetings to provide input and insight across project deliveries. The successful candidate will also demonstrate: Knowledge of civil engineering practices, water reticulation systems and materials Strong experience in analysing and interpreting information such as client requirements, plans and designs Experience of quoting works and tracking costs again plans and progress and project completion. A demonstrated commitment to comply with H&S standards and knowledge of safe work practices. Confidence with a range of computer systems including Microsoft suite Available for afterhours support including weekend work.
