COMMERCIAL / MAINTENANCE PLUMBER – RAF CROUGHTON

Location: RAF Croughton, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to 33,000 DOE + Van + Fuel Card
Permanent, Full-time (40 hrs, Mon–Fri)

REQUIREMENTS

NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent) OR 3+ years’ plumbing experience
Experience in commercial plumbing, facilities maintenance, or housing maintenance
Good knowledge of H&S (COSHH, RIDDOR, water regs, Legionella)
Full UK driving licence
Eligible for SC (Security Clearance)

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a skilled Commercial / Maintenance Plumber to join our facilities management team working on a secure MOD site at RAF Croughton.
This is a permanent, full-time plumbing role where you’ll maintain, repair, and deliver minor works on domestic plumbing systems (housing and dormitories). Tasks include planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, fault-finding, and small installation works.
You’ll often work independently, supported by a large FM company, using a company van and tablet for job allocation. Safety and compliance are central to the role, working in line with H&S standards (COSHH, RIDDOR, Legionella).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out commercial and domestic plumbing repairs on housing and accommodation blocks.
• Deliver planned maintenance (PPM) and urgent reactive plumbing tasks.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and provide efficient solutions.
• Complete job sheets and digital reports via company tablet.
• Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and site security procedures.
• Participate in an out-of-hours call rota (with additional pay).
