Purchasing Planner - Maintenance

The Maintenance Purchaser/Planner performs general purchasing functions for the maintenance operations in accordance with established company standards and the planning within the maintenance department. This includes scheduling work performed by techs along with the limited supervision of the techs. Responsible for supporting the maintenance manager and the company’s vision of transforming the maintenance department into a reliable and performance-based organization that supports the achievement of the goals of the plant.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of corrugated manufacturing experience- optional but preferred

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of the corrugated manufacturing industry process preferred.
  • Five+ years’ experience in management, inventory and purchasing; manufacturing experience is a big plus.

SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.)

  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, and other inventory systems.
  • Excellent work ethics.
  • Excellent time management skills and well-organized.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with all levels of the company from Management to Customers.
