The Reliability Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our high-speed packaging machinery including bottle & jar filling machines, flexible packaging production lines, and capping/sealing machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts to our equipment and systems.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance, or related fields within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, ladder logic programming, and vision systems.
  • Experience with high-speed packaging machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Understanding of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Certification in Reliability Engineering (CRE) or equivalent.
  • Experience in the food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies to improve machine performance and reduce downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs and vision systems to optimize packaging machinery efficiency.
  • Oversee and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Manage and maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for tracking and scheduling maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance & Facilities Manager and other teams to ensure the effective operation of all production equipment.
  • Lead projects to enhance equipment reliability, including identifying and implementing new technologies and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to maintenance personnel on best practices for equipment maintenance and reliability.
