Responsibilities

Leading on the frontline is one of the most important roles in our business and it comes with a huge amount of responsibility. The relief team leader is required motivate, inspire and keep the team safe and well.
We are looking for Relief Team Leaders (Electrical & Mechanical) to join our Maintenance Department at Rio Tinto Yarwun. You will work closely with the Team Leader to achieve our safety, people and growth objectives through planning and executing maintenance activities.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, some of your duties will include:

  • Demonstrating personal and team behaviour that meets or exceeds the Yarwun Visions and Models for leadership
  • Fostering a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement
  • Lead or support shift start meetings
  • Perform scheduled field leadership and infield activities
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Escalate people, safety and work-related concerns with the Team Leader and assist
