GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the Fan Coil Units and assigned areas of the production department following the Sanitation SOP. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring sanitation MSS is completed on time following required SSOP’s. Disassembling and reassembling of equipment may be required and employees are required to work in a safe manner while using chemicals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted. Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work overtime including weekends as required.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to operate Boom Lift, Scissors Lift, one man lift and forklift.
  • Must be able to disassemble and effectively clean FCUs.
  • Must be able to clean overhead piping, ceilings, racks and light fixtures.
  • Must be able to operate high pressure washer to clean equipment.
  • Must be able to work with chemicals.
  • Must be able to repeatedly climb, push and pull extensively over the shift.
  • Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment, requiring extensive lifting.
  • Must be able to work independently and with limited supervision
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of management.
  • Employee must adhere to all policies, practices, and SOP’s related to producing Safe Quality Food (SQF)
