Location: Edmonton - North London
Salary: £54,715 per annum
Hours of work: 4 on 4 off (2 days, 2 nights and 4 off). 6am/6pm - 6pm/6am.

OUR ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS.

  • Engineering qualifications NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Managing or leading a team of Engineers.
  • Desirable - Additional relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

A QUICK LOOK AT THE ROLE

The Shift Engineering Supervisor will supervise and lead the shift team of maintenance technicians to effectively and efficiently respond to all operational engineering needs and prioritising the work load to reduce operational downtime. To lead and develop the maintenance team and ensure health and safety requirements are always considered and executed.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise a shift team of multi-skilled technicians and contractors to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and ensure work is carried out to the standard required.
  • Support the Engineering Supervisor in the development of other team members skills and abilities.
  • Prioritise work on the plant and machinery to meet operational needs and maximise plant uptime.
  • Carry out problem solving activities on the plant and machinery to identify faults and rectify them.
  • Carry out maintenance, both preventative and breakdown, on all equipment on the site to reduce operational down time.
