Description

Based in Central Queensland, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced maintenance professional to join Cement Australia’s largest site and flagship operation’s team as a Maintenance & Shutdown Planner in Gladstone.
Reporting to the Shutdown Manager, you will coordinate and plan all maintenance activities and provide technical input to ensure high plant availability within the plan budget, in a manner commensurate with Cement Australia SHEQ standards and principles.
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and managing weekly maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and KPI improvements. You will provide support to our shutdown team to help deliver projects on time and on budget, as well as end to end planning of the annual plant shutdown activities and manage the effective execution of those shutdowns.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in site safety performance to meet TRFR targets.
  • Provide SHE support through planning and scheduling of work to ensure SHE KPI’s are achieved
  • Ensure relevant SHE documentation are implemented into work orders and data collected and updated upon maintenance completion and review. Ensure all contractors engaged for services comply with site safety requirements
  • Ensure the SAP maintenance management system is maintained for all planned maintenance activities to reflect the schedule and resource requirements within the overall integrated maintenance plan. Ensure relevant work orders are generated, processed and closed out
  • Participate with the Reliability Team to ensure lessons learnt from equipment failures are captured and maintenance management system processes are updated to prevent reoccurrence and improve future planning and scheduling
  • Essential role in shutdowns planning, monitor and control planning activities through all phases of the shutdown lifecycle; preparation; pre-work; work; post work and feedback
  • Analyse the detailed shutdown plans, identify potential conflicts and deviations and propose solutions to optimise the overall shutdown schedule
  • Produce and issue progress S curves for the shutdown progress to allow visual representation of plan and progress
  • Be familiar with annual maintenance budget in magnitude and timing of spend to ensure monthly maintenance spend remains under budget. Identify future maintenance requirements and prepare cost report and contribute to the following year’s annual budget development
