Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a hardworking Maintenance Specialist to support our maintenance team in ensuring our facilities are tidy and well maintained. This position is part time with minimum hours of 20 hours.

Responsibilities include:

  • General maintenance repairs which can include plumbing, painting, building, electrical, refrigeration, air-conditioning, room checks, preventative maintenance.
  • To receive and action all department maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep an awareness of repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel during your day-to-day tasks
  • Investigate reported faults and rectify/escalate to Head of Department or other HODs as required
  • Complete tasks required to fulfil full building, systems and plant preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Liaise with relevant contractors as directed by Head of Department
  • To carry out periodical checks of contractor maintenance to ensure standard and professionalism is being maintained.
  • Support regular service of appliances and equipment
  • Regular liaison with all departments in particular, Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure rooms are returned to full working order as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure you follow all hotel policies and procedures including access to guest rooms/plant/machinery etc
