JOB SUMMARY 1. Program/Department Responsibilities Respond promptly to requests from members and other departments. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public or program areas.  Performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain locker rooms, program areas, and the premises in general in a clean and orderly manner. HOUSEKEEPER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cleans rugs, carpets using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet sweeper. * Cleans locker rooms, shower areas, and restrooms to industry standards. * Washes walls and high touch areas. * Sweeps, mops, scrubs floors. * Dusts and polishes metalwork. * Clean and sanitize saunas. * Clean and disinfect all program areas. * Maintains housekeeping carts. * Empty and remove trash collected to dumpster. * Refill any soap, sanitizer, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers as required. * Clean pool area to include observation deck. Remove trash. * Clean all Program areas and studios * Clean and restock maintenance closets  * Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following department standard operating procedures. * Dust furniture, ledges, railings and window sills daily. * Salt and Remove snow from walkways and parking lot * Report missing / found articles, damage or maintenance problems to the building supervisors. * Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to members and other staff. * Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed. * Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Old Colony YMCA Dress Code Policy. * Must be able to work independently and as a team player Qualifications * High school graduate. * Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record  * Knowledge of basic maintenance requirements * Able to lift 50 pounds * Able to do three flights of stairs * Must be able to walk, stand, bend and stoop * Snow Removal/ Shoveling to accommodate needs
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in locker rooms, program areas, and the premises. They respond to requests from members and other departments while performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks.
