POSITION DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Crush Plant Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and servicing of all critical equipment at the canola crush facility, including expellers, centrifuges, pumps, bucket elevators, augers, screw conveyors, and other related systems. This position ensures all equipment is properly maintained through the preventative maintenance (PM) program and supports overall plant operations by working closely with expeller operators and material handlers to ensure product quality, safety, efficiency, and compliance with environmental regulations.
This is a salaried position, scheduled Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with the expectation of being on call as needed during evenings and weekends to support plant operations and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is adaptable, dependable, and takes pride in stepping up wherever needed. Whether it’s performing mechanical work, assisting with operational tasks, completing documentation, or supervising others, the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of plant operations. A solid understanding of both expeller and material handler operations is essential, as the Supervisor may be called upon to fill in during emergencies. The role works closely with the Plant Manager and may be required to provide coverage in their absence.
