Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a high-volume bakery located in North York, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong mechanical background and leadership experience to oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability and workplace safety.
Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of five years of extensive local experience in the Bakery, Food, Pharmaceutical, or Millwright industries

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of equipment.
  • Experience working with PLC systems and automation equipment is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong command of English (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to organize work orders, track inventory, and maintain service records.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to identify and resolve maintenance concerns proactively.
  • Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and mentorship to maintenance staff to support ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance work that aligns with production goals.
