Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Maintenance Supervisor-Chemical Manufacturing for our client, a major player in the chemical production industry. This position offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional maintenance initiatives, drive site-wide reliability strategies, and support a high-performing team in achieving operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with deep industrial maintenance experience and proven leadership capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-year Technical or Business degree required; BS in Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in an industrial environment.
  • Proven experience managing maintenance personnel and processes in a plant setting.
  • Strong background in process control and cost accounting techniques (preferred).
  • Knowledge of mechanical integrity programs and preventive maintenance systems.
  • Experience with consequence management and multi-functional leadership across technical and business domains.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all site maintenance activities, ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and cost control.
  • Develop and maintain a trained, qualified, and diverse maintenance workforce.
  • Coordinate with plant leadership to allocate maintenance resources across the site effectively.
  • Lead efforts to integrate EHS compliance processes into maintenance operations.
  • Ensure performance measures demonstrate alignment with the site’s maintenance strategy.
  • Direct mechanical integrity and other maintenance departments to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations.
  • Support the plant’s annual operating budget by preparing and monitoring maintenance-related costs.
  • Maintain and promote an active safety culture through safety programs and hazard recognition processes.
  • Lead maintenance planning and scheduling activities; ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Coach, mentor, and empower employees to align with organizational values and performance expectations.
  • Lead quality system process improvements across maintenance teams.
  • Provide maintenance services for scheduled, emergency, and interrupt work as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
