Job Description Position: Maintenance Supervisor Primary Location: Richmond, CA Schedule: Monday to Friday Reports to: Maintenance Manager Compensation: $120,000 - $130,000 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt) The range shown reflects the targeted pay scale. Actual pay within the range depends on work location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Scope of the Position The Maintenance Supervisor is a key part of the maintenance department at our Richmond CA, Sulfuric Acid and Regen production plant. They are responsible for team leadership, overall utilization of plant resources to achieve strategic maintenance and reliability and safety objectives. This includes compliance with Chemtrade Responsible Care objectives including the maintenance and reliability program, supervise maintenance and contractor crew for capital project execution and management of all maintenance activities including plant . What You Need To Be Successful Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of maintenance experience Working knowledge of Chemical, Oil Refinery, Power, or Pulp and Paper process equipment to include but not limited to Pumps, Motors, Piping, Valves, Turbines and Heat Exchangers 3+ years of Leadership experience directing hourly employees Experience with safety programs in an industrial facility Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System Personal computer and software usage including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Familiarity with SAP – purchasing and plant maintenance module are pluses Key Responsibilities Develop and supervise the daily maintenance work schedule Create and implement a developmental plan for the mechanical crew. Communicate with operations to add any emergency work to the day’s schedule Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System or Work Order system to assign work Maintain preventative maintenance inspection reports and their completion to schedule Perform troubleshooting of plant process and/or equipment issues and also lead group troubleshooting meetings Responsible for tracking: stock for all mechanical, instrumentation, welding, rotating equipment, pipe-valve-fittings, and numerous filters, bearings and hoses just to name a few Accountable for the entire maintenance department’s adherence to safety policies and procedures Leads or participates in incident investigation and closure of action items Assist in the development and communication of job safety analyses for plant processes Respond to EHS incidents through prompt and thorough reporting, incident investigation, root cause identification and action item implementation Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the maintenance team to develop a culture committed to safety, environmental awareness and continuous improvement, consistent with the ethic of Responsible Care Maintain a working knowledge of company policies, plant procedures, environmental regulatory and permit requirements and other applicable regulations and standards Responsible for budgeting, scheduling, pre-outage hazard preparation, measurement metrics, critiques, etc. Manage the maintenance training and education process to ensure the maintenance techs possess the knowledge and competencies to perform their job Medical Requirement Chemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public.
